ALOM Scav 40
ALOM INHIB 40 – a non-toxic Hydrogen Sulphide and Mercaptan scavenger chemical: is a highly effective reactive sulphur scavenger for many sulphur species - Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S), Mercaptans (thiols, thiono), sulphides, disulphides, polysulphides, carbonyl sulphide and solid metal sulphides, including Iron Sulphides, Zinc Sulphides in crude oil and gas production systems, water systems and Refineries.
It can be used to scavenge Hydrogen Sulphide, Mercaptans, thiols, thiono Sulphurs, Sulphides e.g. mono, disulphides and polysulphides, in crude oils, naphthas, gasolines, kerosenes, bitumens and cracking processes. The product can be used in sweetening units, or gas treating units, packed in towers to scavenge Hydrogen Sulphide, Carbonyl Sulphides and Mercaptans.
ALOM Scav 40 is a non-toxic, highly cost effective scavenger chemical for reducing the concentration of dissolved and gaseous Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S), metal sulphides (for example: iron, zinc) and Mercaptans sulphur, sulphides to polysulphides, thiols, thiono sulphurs in upstream oil and gas production systems, sour water strippers, waste water stripper-clean up and in downstream refineries in the crude distillation unit and integrated processes including the catalytic cracker and hydrotreater, and visbreaker product streams.
This reactive sulphur scavenger can be used to polish off the sulphurs from Hydrogen Sulphide and Mercaptans in the gasoline or fuels leaving the sweetening unit, amine towers
and the Merox units. In the upstream O&G industry, this scavenger chemistry is suitable for use down hole in wells and for continuous injection into production fluid streams (subsea or topsides).
It can be injected as a liquid dispersion into fluid (water, oil and mixtures of) and gas streams and can be used in encapsulated forms in wells and tanks, plus can be used in solid form on cartridges / Towers /Scrubbers in Refineries for product streams treatment.
Ð Wet Crude Systems
For best results, this scavenger product utilized, as liquid slurry, should be continuously injected into the production stream typically at dose rates of between 3 and 25 ppm, based on total fluids. The dose rate does depend upon both the target component to be scavenged (sulphides or Mercaptans or both) and on the sulphide and mercaptan content of the target stream. We predict 1 ppm of ALOM Scav 40 active matter will scavenge between 4-6 ppm of (H2S).
This can include injection subsea, injection into wellhead manifolds and even down hole injection via umbilicals.
